All travelers must complete the Dominican Republic E-Ticket form online at eticket.migracion.gob.do before arrival. This replaces the old paper immigration and customs forms.
A tourist card is required for all visitors. The $10 fee is typically included in your airline ticket price. It's valid for 30 days and can be extended at the immigration office.
Tourist stays can be extended beyond 30 days at the Dirección General de Migración in Santo Domingo. Overstaying incurs a fee of approximately $55 USD per month.
While not mandatory for all nationalities, travel insurance is strongly recommended. Some airlines and entry points may request proof of insurance.
All visitors need a valid passport. While the official requirement is validity for the duration of stay, we recommend at least 6 months validity.
No vaccinations are mandatory for most travelers. Yellow fever vaccination is required only if arriving from an endemic country. Tap water is not recommended for drinking.
